What is nitrous oxide?

Nitrous oxide is a colourless gas commonly used for sedation and pain relief. Dentists and medical professionals use it to sedate patients having minor medical procedures, and it’s also sometimes used to treat people withdrawing from alcohol dependence. It is also used as a food additive for whipped cream, and to enhance engine performance in the automotive industry. 

Nitrous oxide is also used by people recreationally to get ‘high’.Nitrous oxide dissociative drug, which means it causes people to feel separated or detached from their body or physical environment. Dissociatives are similar to psychedelics, they can cause hallucinations and other changes in thoughts, emotions and consciousness.
